The Molar Mentoring Oral Hygiene Educators course is tailored for qualified Dental Nurses who are registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). This comprehensive course equips participants with the essential skills to promote effective oral hygiene practices, administer topical fluoride under the prescription of a dentist, and deliver oral hygiene instruction both within their practice and to the wider community.
The course consists of 10 units, each having an assignment. These assignments may include workbooks, research tasks, case studies, and an oral hygiene display project. Notably, there is no examination required to obtain the qualification. The course is equivalent to a level 4 course.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a 30 verifiable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificate, demonstrating fulfilment of the GDC's learning outcomes, along with an OH Molar Badge to recognise their achievement.
